Abstract

Kohgilooye & Boyer Ahmad province situates in south western of Iran at 1880 meters Altitude above sea level. For the first time archaeological Survey at the North of Kohgilooye & Boyer Ahmad province was done during July and August 2011. Boyer Ahmad is surrounded by impassable mountains with deeply V shaped valley and it has been the passageway of Zagrosian nomads until now. During the survey was found some rock architectural structure near Khorram-Rah and Puleh village, which belongs to the Elymaean (?), called Estodan (Ossuary). There are some settlement, troglodytic architecture and rock reliefs of Elymaean around this area. Generally, various types of troglodytic architectures were made for different applications, for instance Temple, residential and burial rituals etc. The newfound troglodytic architecture studied in this paper consists of six Estodans at Kohgilooye & Boyer Ahmad province. According to similarity plans and situation near Elymaean sites, we with caution attributed newfound troglodytic architecture to Elymaean period. .
