Abstract

Designing the structure of science and Knowledge map for different disciplines and following their latest changes is a matter of interest to scholars and specialist in scientometrics and scientific texts are the underlying foundation for this drawing.
The evaluation of the publishing trend of articles in various scientific fields provides an insight into the efforts of researchers in the field of knowledge. The scientific map make researchers more aware of the status of research and also discover the thematic gaps of scientific research.
Accordingly, this research has investigated and demonstrated the scientific structure and knowledge map of the researches of Hand-woven carpet. The present study is practical research that has been performed using the scientometric method and analysis of social networks. In this regard, the data were collected and refined from the Scopus information database and was analyzed with algorithms based on social network analysis in VOSviewer software. The findings showed that of more than 1231 scientific documents and 677 authors, the United States, Germany and United Kingdom had the most publications. Also, Georgia Institute of Technology and Amirkabir University are among the most important research centers active in the field of handwoven carpets. Co-occurrence analysis of words revealed five research clusters in Hand-woven carpet studies related to the connections and flows of Carpet manufacture, Carpet industry, rug, weaving and Textile industry. Applying the knowledge network analysis approach and mapping it is recommended to achieve a holistic perspective in the field of Hand-woven carpet research in the future. Accordingly, authors and researchers can develop a network of scientific collaborations in the region and the world to collaborate in producing new knowledge, solve problems, and provide appropriate solutions.
